What are multilingual discount widgets?
Multilingual discount widgets show every storefront widget's text, such as a free shipping message, a Saved on cart label, or badge text, in the language the shopper is browsing in. In Discount Prime you type a translation for each field in each of your store's published Shopify languages, and the storefront renders the matching one automatically, falling back to your default text for anything not yet translated.
If you sell through Shopify Markets or into non-English markets, a fully translated theme can still leave your discount widgets speaking English. That mismatch is exactly where trust leaks out of the funnel. Discount Prime keeps the widgets in step with the rest of the page, so a shopper in Tokyo, Berlin, or Paris sees the same promotion in their own language, with nothing to duplicate on your side.
How translations work, in three steps
There is no separate language setup and no theme work. You publish languages in Shopify, type your translations in the widget you are already editing, and the storefront does the rest.
Publish your languages in Shopify
Add the languages you sell in under Settings then Languages in the Shopify admin. Discount Prime reads that published list directly, so there is nothing extra to set up inside the app.
Open any widget and pick a language
Whenever your store has more than one published language, a language selector appears in each widget's settings. Switch to a language and type the translation for each text field.
The storefront switches automatically
The widget detects the shopper's current locale and renders the matching text. Anything you have not translated yet falls back to your default, so nothing ever shows blank.
Fallback is automatic
Any field you leave untranslated in a language falls back to your default text, in both the admin preview and on the storefront. Languages with missing translations are flagged in the selector, and each language has a reset-to-default, so a widget is never left blank while you fill the rest in.
